GIFTS + ART ON TRUMBULL
A flurry of new stores have opened up in downtown Hartford and among them are GIFTS + ART On Trumbull, a bright space filled with wholesome trinkets and tchotchkes, as well as local masterpieces. In an era of mindless and constant consumption, GIFTS + ART encourages thoughtful purchases that support and bolster our local economy.
To celebrate its opening and the amazing artists on view, GIFTS + ART On Trumbull will be host a reception on Thursday, May 1st from 5 - 7pm. Attendees will be able to interact with the art and artists, such as Miguel Matos, founder of Parkville Art Gallery, as well as watercolor and oil painter Sarah Baskin and Farmington-based painter Kate Emery who donates half of the proceeds from paintings purchased to charity.
Additional artist on view will also include Rebecca Parker Abbott, Kristi Colbert, Joanna Eickenhorst, Monte Henderson, Tricia Anderson Kelly, Rebecca Looney, Beth Pite, Hisham Saikali, Marc Schebell, Cassandra Walcott, Anna Webersen, Frechette and Katie Wickham.
GIFTS + ART On Trumbull not only offers hopeful passerbys and Yardgoat fans with a myriad of unique souvenirs to take home, but provides a space for Hartford natives to experience the art being created in their community.
