FIRST & LAST BALL RINGS IN THE NEW YEAR IN HARTFORD
FIRST NIGHT HARTFORD WILL HOST A BENEFIT BALL DOWNTOWN
This year, you can celebrate the new year in Connecticut’s capitol. For the first time in decades, a New Year’s Eve ball will be held in the heart of downtown Hartford as First Night Hartford will be hosting a benefit bash. Located in the Bond Ballroom, the glamorous gala will allow party goers to celebrate in style. Open to guests 21 and older, the sophisticated soiree will feature entertainment by DJ Craig G and Tony Ramos, as well as special guest performances. Refreshments will include hors d’ouerves and a cash bar. When the clock strikes midnight, guests will enjoy a champagne toast and penthouse floor view of the First Night fireworks display over Bushnell Park.
“We’re excited to bring the longtime tradition of the New Year’s Eve ball back to Downtown Hartford in a new way. The First & Last Ball is going to be an awesome party for an amazing cause, supporting two important Hartford community traditions,” Marian Andoh Clarke, board chair of First Night Hartford shares. The benefit fundraiser supports both First Night Hartford and Hartford Bonanza, the city’s Independence Day festival.
“First Night Hartford is excited to bring a bit of glamour to the NYE festivities downtown. First Night is really for everyone, but is only getting more expensive to put on. This Ball is meant to be an extra special experience and help us raise the funds so that we can continue to offer two important holiday traditions in Hartford, especially as we look ahead to welcoming the whole state to the capital next July 4th for the America 250 edition of the Hartford Bonanza,” Jeffrey Devereux, co-founder of Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner and organizer of First Night Hartford shares.
Tickets are $100 each. After December 26, tickets will be $125. Event sponsorships are also available, as well as a limited number of reserved tables. Cocktail attire is encouraged.
