CAF/CAFETERIA WINTER ‘26 CAMPAIGN + EDITORIAL

The CAF Winter ’26 editorial and campaign brings together three capsule collections from Deadby5am, Better Alive and Dertbag, framed through a stripped-back studio setting that centers construction, graphic language and silhouette over spectacle. Shot as part of the CAF Winter ’26 campaign, the imagery is grounded by sound system stacks and minimal staging, allowing texture, material and graphic detail to take the lead across three distinct Connecticut brands brought together through a shared creative conversation.
Dertbag’s contribution leans into the brand’s sense of humor and graphic confidence. The new dB graphic lands on both a tee and a crewneck, and the reference feels familiar in a way that’s intentional. It’s simple, yet little subversive, kind of like Calvin Klein’s iconic branding themes. The Divine Energy pillbox cap carries that same attitude. Slightly painterly, relaxed in shape and finished with subtle embroidery, it feels like something you’d grab every day without thinking about it, especially in the hand-dyed indigo versions that give each one a little variation.

Better Alive Than Dead’s Moon Pant is one of those pieces that immediately explains itself once you put it on. The mixed camo canvas and denim panels, the long waistband tie and the exaggerated, flared shape give it a kind of utility-meets-expression feel that works just as well styled clean as it does pushed into something more experimental.
From Deadby5am, the collaborative Dice Hoodie and the new DB5 emblem tee capture the brand’s storytelling instinct in a quieter way. The dice graphic, done with a custom CAF block mark, nods to the everyday moments and memories Brenton often references when talking about how he designs. The emblem tee, built around a familiar skate and streetwear visual language from the legendary DC Shoes, feels like a natural extension of the brand rather than a departure.
Together, the Winter ’26 capsules reflect a shared approach to independent design in Connecticut, where garment construction, graphic language and utility become tools for storytelling rather than trends to follow.
