Trey Moore collaborated with cafeteria radio to make the first listening experience of Boy Next Door one to remember. The walls were filled with nostalgic posters, the room was filled with sounds by DJ Hardwood & Dave Phoenix. You felt as though you were in a garden with grass carpets and fenced up flowers.

The concept of Technicity first started when we began brainstorming what we wanted to offer to the interior setting at Semilla Cafe + Studio. Early conversations lead to the idea of building a DIY DJ booth, which eventually snowballed into a research project into Sound System culture, originating in Jamaica.

A tribute to analog equipment as we explored the connectivity between West Indie and Japanese audio enthusiasts.

After much planning and preparation, Semilla Cafe + Studio finally opened its doors on Friday, September 10th, 2021.
